At Mt. Ogden Dental Clinic, we recognize that there are times a tooth needs to come out: impacted wisdom teeth, broken down teeth, non-restorable teeth, teeth causing pain, baby teeth that need to go to the tooth fairy etc. Having a tooth extracted can be a daunting and a scary experience. At Mt Ogden Dental Clinic, we will do all we can to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. We will discuss all options and do all we can to help you make the correct decision that is best for your oral health. We will discuss options of saving tooth, taking tooth out and how to restore or not to restore the missing tooth.
When it comes to taking care of routine dentistry, we are sensitive to any type of treatment that you or your child may stand in need of. Tooth extractions can be the best option for preserving oral health, or making room in child’s mouth for other teeth to come in. If you need one or more teeth removed, you can rely on us to provide thorough, comprehensive care in a warm, nurturing environment.
Molars that come in third during our human lives are called wisdom teeth. The typically come on each side of our upper and lower jaws. We usually get our 3rd molars during late teen years or early twenties. If you fall in this category of age or your child does, we can perform x-rays to see where the molars are at in their progression of eruption through the gums. It is recommended that Dr. Mark at Mt. Ogden Dental clinic extract the molars between the ages of 16-19. During this time period is when the team at our dental clinic can get the teeth pulled before there is painful crowing, less developed roots and fewer complications.
Don’t let tooth damage or decay compromise your oral health. Call to set up an appointment for your wisdom teeth extractions, broken down tooth extractions and other oral surgery needs.
